Because even I was thinking small...

This was a big weekend for Pius. From the visit of Sister Catherine to the unveiling of our new statue to the near ridiculous success of our auction, all of us have plenty to be proud of.

The defining moment for me was when Sister Catherine raised her hand to pledge a donation to the new library - as if she hasn't already given more than enough to the vision and success to the school, she is still contributing every chance she gets.

The big thing is that we met our goals - and exceeded them. It turns out that even I was thinking a little too small, because we've decided that Pius wants more, and I intend to make sure that it happens. In addition to the library that we've already laid out, then, we'll be adding an additional 500 student books and a slew of targeted resources to help out our most needy learners as they work with their new tutors.

The best news is this: the only thing we need to worry about now is the color of the bookshelves and the date of the grand opening.
