A few things

First, it's been quite awhile since we've had a post up here. Part of that has been due to the fact we've been preparing all of our wonderful changes to the middle school, and part has been due to the fact that the end of the year is really, really busy.

With all that said, you'll be seeing a few posts this week.

First, an update on the activity center.

We were flooded by what turned out to be a burst pipe in the girl's restroom. When Earl arrived on campus at 6:45 AM, some of the areas of the activity center were flooded with an inch-and-a-half of water. Because of the overwhelming response of our parents, we were able to get the entire area cleaned up and ready to use within just a few short hours. I want to especially thank Todd Goldsmith for overseeing the volunteers and Dave Fields and the Schnetzer family for bleach-cleaning all the floors.

For all of the other volunteers who showed up, thank you so much for your time and dedication. This could have been a terrible situation both financially and structurally, but we really dodged a bullet and everything looks okay.

So again, thank you so much for your quick response to our need!
