Elementary Teachers

Hi, my name is Lauren Lawson. I am a graduate of the University of Tulsa and am currently seeking my master's degree from OSU in community and school counseling. I have been teaching for five years now and am so excited about the opportunity to be at St. Pius.

I am married and have two children. I have been teaching Fifth Grade at St. Pius X Catholic School for thirteen years. I feel very lucky to have a job that I really enjoy. I would not want to be teaching anywhere else. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family.

I am a graduate of St. Pius X School, Bishop Kelley High School and OSU. I have been involved in Catholic education for over seventeen years. I have experience at the middle school level as well as the elementary level. I received the Distinguished Graduate Award for St. Pius X School in 2009. My husband and I have twin son's Jonathan and Matthew who are also graduates of St. Pius X and Bishop Kelley.

I am a graduate of the University of Tulsa with a degree in Elementary Education. I am married and have 3 children. My oldest attended St.Pius during her elementary years and my two youngest currently attend St. Pius. What I cherish most about St. Pius is the community that surrounds our school and church. The love and support that is found within that community is what makes us strong and unique from other schools!

I was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. I attended Washburn University, where I earned a Bacehelor's in Education and a Master's in Educational Administration. When I got married, I moved to Oklahoma. In my career I have taught a variety of ages and subject areas, as well as been an Assistant Principal and the Curriculum Coordinator for the Diocese. I am currently teaching third grade. My family attends St. Pius X Church and my two children go to St. Pius X School.

My name is Valda Presley and I teach Second Grade. I have a B.S. in Sociology from OSU and an Elementary Teaching Certification from the University of Central Oklahoma. I attend St. Pius with my husband Tim. I have two sons who went through St. Pius and Bishop Kelley. Sean is 24 and Will is 19. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Julie Schultz and I prepare the Second Graders for First Reconciliation and First Communion

Hello! My name is Julie Schultz. I teach second grade. My family and I attend St. Pius X Church, as well as sending our children to school there. My husband's name is Bruce and we have 2 children, Abigail and Alexander. Abigail is in fourth grade and Alexander is in preschool. We strongly believe in Catholic Education.

My name is Amy Hern and I teach first grade. I am a graduate of St. Pius X School and Bishop Kelley High School. I graduated from The University of Oklahoma and have been teaching for five years. I am a middle school volleyball coach and a member of the yearbook staff. My husband, Eric, and I are member of St. Pius X Parish.
