Fifth grade is a time of new ideas, new experiences, and an end to being a "little kid" in the school. Students are expected to further develop personal responsibility through assignments, tests and quizzes. Saint Pius uses the fifth grade as a way to prepare students for their middle school years by increasing homework loads and the intellectual content of instruction, as well as providing methods for studying, test taking and organization.
