The second grade is a time of refinement and enrichment as our students, already reading with some proficiency, continue to explore reading and writing as well as expanding their math skills. Students are encouraged to learn to get along with each other, try new things, and experiment within the different subjects that they see each day. It is our goal at Saint Pius to create lifelong learners who love education and their Catholic faith. We take great steps toward this goal in the second grade.
Mrs. Schultz and Mrs. Presley both understand the needs of a second grader. Mrs. Schultz has a child of her own within the school, and Mrs. Presley's children, although no longer at Saint Pius, still use the skills they learned here to succeed in their lives. They both are dedicated to their students, and strive to make sure that they can grow in heart, mind and body.
