         Saint Pius X School is Offering Free Kindergarten Testing
(Tulsa, OK-January 3, 2012)  Saint Pius X School is offering free kindergarten testing on Saturday, January 28 and Saturday, February 4 for children intereted in enrolling in kindergarten for the 2012-2013 school year.  Kindergarten testing can cost up to $50 per child but will be offered free on those two days through Saint Pius X School.

Children must be 5-years-old by September 1, 2012 to enroll in the kindergarten program at Saint Pius X School.  Parents need to make an appointment to have their child tested by calling the school office at (918) 627-5367 during the hours of 7:30am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.  Parents are also invited to tour the school and ask questions of teachers, parents and administration.

"Kindergarten testing helps parents decide if their child is academically ready to enter kindergarten to ensure they have a positive learning experience.  We know kindergarten lays the foundation for the success of their academic career," says Lisa Beardshear, Principal of Saint Pius X School.

Saint Pius will also be enrolling for the 2012-2013 school year for the preschool program.  To enroll, call the school office at 918-627-5367 and your child's name will be placed on the list.  Parents will be contacted in February to begin enrollment.  Children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2012.

Saint Pius X School was established in 1957 and is a fully accredited Pre-K through eighth grade Catholic school that serves students of all race and religions.  Saint Pius X School has 373 students, only two grades per class and no more than 22 students in each class.  The school offers two tutors, a language lab offering 20 different languages, a computer lab, synergistic math, science and technology lab, a music program offering guitar, piano and drums, extensive art and athletic programs and a buddy program where middle school students mentor the elementary students.  Saint Pius X School also offers a full time pre-school program starting at age 3 and an on-site before and after-care program starting at 7:30am and going until 5:30pm.
